Mrs. Charlotte C. Brigham, 87, a Central Illinois resident for 83 years died at her home on South Main street road at 11:50 a.m. Tuesday. She had been ill of heart trouble for the last year and was in a serious condition the last month. She was born June 3, 1845, New York state, a daughter of John and Julia Pray. The family came to LeRoy when she was four years old, and she lived there until her marriage to Fletcher Brigham, a Civil war veteran, Dec. 19, 1872. Mrs. Brigham had lived in her present home the last 40 years. Mr. Brigham died Jan. 6, 1923. Surviving are seven children, Mrs. Dora M. Harne of Danvers,
George W. Brigham of Portland, Ind.; Mrs. Rachel Foster, r. r. 4, Bloomington; Mrs. Nora Mabel Lowe, Council Bluffs, Iowa; Mrs. Mary Esther Eastman of Eureka, Annie J. and Charlotte F. at home; 21 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Rebecca Scott of Leroy, and two brothers, Elisha Pray of LeRoy and John Pray of Portland, Ind.
