MILAN: Leroy F. Tooman, 76, of 227 County St., died Saturday [1961] at Bunker’s Rest Home here. Friends may call at Stevens and Bush Funeral Home with services at Marble Memorial Methodist Church, the Rev William M. Hughes officiating. Burial in Marble Park Cemetery. Born Dec. 25, 1884, at Leipsic, Ohio, he was the son of Andrew M. and Harriet Tooman. He married Nettie Jane Colley Sept. 7, 1905, at Leipsic and she died March 24, 1916. He married Mable Palmer Knaggs Oct. 1, 1920 at Milan where they have lived since their marriage. Mr. Tooman was employed at the American Foundries Co. at Milan and retired in 1945. He was a member of Marble Memorial United Methodist Church of Milan. Surviving are his wife; three sons, Harold of Kremer, La, Irvin of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, and Willis of Ypsilanti; a step daughter Mr. Paul Angell of Oak Park, Ill; three brothers, Clarence of Leipsic, and Lloyd and Chester of Milan; four sisters, Mrs. Oliver Critchett of Leipsic, Mrs. Alice George of Belmore, OH, Mrs Ethel Harris of Ypsilanti and Mrs. Lena Heath of Milan; 27 grandchildren.
