Like the white of a sweet carnation
Like the pink of a delicate rose
The wondrous love of a mother
Is the love that humanity knows
Her heart is of wondrous beauty
Her soul is entwined with love
Her smile is the builder of empires
Brightened by rays of love
Her life is a glorious example
Of the wish of our Father above
No heart is more gentle and kindly
No life is more filled with love
Than the heart and life of Mother
With that heart, that soul, and that love.
William was 9 years old when his mother died.
