Services will be at 6:00 p.m., Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington with Rev. Bruce Williamson officiating. Visitation will be 4 – 6 p.m., the day of the service at the memorial home. Inurnment will be private at East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington. Memorials may be mailed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
Dan was born November 24, 1960 at St. Louis, MO a son of Thomas and Betty Gustafson Acklin.
Survivors include his daughter, Jordan Acklin, Bloomington; son, Jared Acklin (finance, Charesa Ballance), Bloomington; grandson, Braxton Balance; and one brother, Douglas (Kathy) Acklin, Bloomington.
His parents, son, Jared Edward Acklin, and his sister, Donna Acklin, all precede him in death.
Dan attended Eastview Christian Church, Normal and was a long time member of Carpenters Local 63, Bloomington.
