Edna Grace (Ressler) Brubaker

Edna Grace (Ressler) Brubaker, age 87, of Orrville, died on February 10, 2006.
Funeral services will be at Living Water Free Methodist Church, 200 Kurzen Road, Dalton, with Rev. Mike McFarren and Rev. David Kendall officiating. Burial will be at Pleasantview Mennonite Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Zak-Monbarren Funeral Home in Dalton.
Edna was born April 4, 1918, to Joseph L. and Mary (Wenger) Ressler. She married Marion Joseph Brubaker December 25, 1937. He died in 1995, after 57 years of marriage.
She was a member of the Living Water Free Methodist Church. Edna taught Bible classes (Release Time) in Dundee and Ragersville, Ohio for 28 years. She was also involved in children's ministries at her church in Sugarcreek, teaching the CLC program (Christian Life Crusaders) and Jr. Church for 28 years.
Her heart's desire was for children to come to know the Lord. She was also a prayer warrior, praying for all people that touched her life. She opened her home to other children and cared for them for approximately four years. She loved to entertain missionaries and many friends in her home. She moved to OrrVilla Retirement Center in 1995 and made many new friends at her new home.
Survivors include four children, Robert D. Brubaker (Evajean) of Mansfield, Ohio, Ronald D. (Betty) Brubaker of Mansfield, Virgil (Julia) Brubaker of Apple Creek, and Lavone (Rev. David) Kendall of Greenville, Ill., 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Dorcas Ross, Inez Brubaker, Evelyn (Evan) Taylor and Marjorie (Joe) Kotva; two brothers, Earl (Ruby) and Ellis (Sadie) Ressler; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend, Alverta Feeman.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Paul Ressler; and sisters, Mabel Burkhart, Mary Ressler and Retha Kaufmann.
