Myra Bell Van Buskirk Heaps, our wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, went home to her Heavenly Father on April 29, 1996 to be with her eternal companion, Gordon LaMar Heaps, who passed away on February 24, 1978.

She was born May 12, 1912, in Salt Lake City, the daughter of Arthur and Azilphia Reed Van Buskirk. She married Gordon L. Heaps, August 21, 1934 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Survived by her daughters, Joyce (Robert) Bingham, Salt Lake; Flora Thomas, Reno, Nevada; five grandchildren; Robert Bingham, Jerry Bingham, Richard Bingham, Cindy Roper, Michael Thomas; seven great-grandchildren and her sister, Mildred Glazier. Preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Mahlon, Arthur and Morris; sisters, Marjory, Myrtle and Marva.

We thank our beautiful mother for a lifetime of support, love, caring and thoughtfulness. She was a very Special lady who shared her talents with everyone.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 3, 1996, 2 p.m. in the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary Chapel, 10600 South 1700 East, Sandy, where friends may call Friday two hours prior to services. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
