JEFEFRSONVILLE - Mrs. Elsie Inez Slayton, 76, of 9 Janes St., Jeffersonville, died at 8:30 a.m. Thursday in her residence. She had been in failing health for four years and seriously ill for the last three months.
Born in Adams County, she had resided all her life in Fayette County.
Survivors include her husband, Mont C. Slayton; a daughter Mrs. Regina Leckrone, of San Francisco; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Her first husband, Edward Mershon, died in 1949.
Arrangements, still incomplete, are under the direction of the Gerstner-Kinzer Funeral Home.
