NORTH LIMA - There will be a funeral service at 3 p.m. Sunday at Fox Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Rafael Cruz Jr. for Geraldine H. Foley,86 , who passed away peacefully Wednesday morning at Hospice House.
Geraldine was born May 31, 1928 in Blacksburg, Virginia, a daughter of Raymond C. and Marietta Page McCoy and has been a Youngstown resident since 1948. She married Edgar A. Foley on February 24, 1948 and they were just short of celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary when he died on June 29, 1977. Geraldine was a homemaker raising her eight children. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church and will be missed by her extended family. She enjoyed playing Bingo, shopping and going out to eat.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, four daughters, Agnes E. Salata of Charlotte, NC, Doris M. Stone of Youngstown, Marietta Lynn Foley of Youngstown, Patricia Ann Mang of Youngstown; two sons, Michael D. Foley and Zeno A. Foley both of Sturgis, MI; four sisters, Wanda Price of Dublin, VA, Isabelle Graves of Blacksburg, VA, Betty Sue Gradley of Parrott, VA. Dorothy Nester of Cambra, VA; 27 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandaughter.
Besides her parents and husband, Geraldine was preceded in death by a daughter Barbara Davila; a son Edward D. Foley; three sisters, Elva Semones, Mayola Duncan, Nancy Ritter; four brothers, Dwight, Carl, Eugene and Odell McCoy.
Friends may call from 5 p.m.to 7 p.m Saturday at Fox Funeral Home in Boardman.
