On Wednesday, March 27, 2013, Nancy Joan Ritter, stepped through the gates of heaven.
Born June 1st, 1937, she was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Mary Page McCoy; her husband of 40 years, John I. Ritter; son, Ray Christie Sifford; brothers, Odell, Carl, Eugene, and Dwight McCoy; and sister, Elva Semones.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Dennis Sifford and Tina Bullion; daughters and son-in-law, Zerita and Dennis Montgomery, and Valorie Allison; nine grandchildren, Ginger (Mark) Aeschlimann, Angel (Roy) Carter, Roger Montgomery, Benny Ray (Amber) Sifford, Tiea (Jamie) Bailey, Jonathan Heath (Sherrie) Sifford, Chasity (Shane) Gaines, Nicole Sifford, and Cody Flinchum; sixteen great-grandchildren, Randi, Jessie, Dakota, Harlie, Joey, Ray, Jordan, Dominic, Ava, Clayton, Sierra, Christian, Drake, Andrew, Emilee, and Brayden; and sisters, Geraldine Foley of Ohio, Wanda Price of Christiansburg, Mayola Duncan of Floyd, Isabelle Graves of Blacksburg, Bettie Gravley of Parrott, an Dorothy Nester of Fairlawn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 1, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Parrott Church of God with Rev. Kenneth Alley, Rev. Tommy Ramsey, and Rev. Eddie Dalton officiating. Interment will follow in the Sifford Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the church. The Ritter family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
