Anna May Barth, daughter of W.H. and Susie (Flanigan) Boswell was born December 21, 1901, on a farm in Harris County, Missouri, and departed from this life on October 12, 1983, at Leon, Iowa at the age of 81 years, 9 months and 21 days.

She was united in marriage to Roy Barth on February 24, 1923. To this union were born one son and a daughter.

May obeyed the Gospel on August 30, 1936, and was a faithful member of the Church of Christ until her death.

Roy and May established their home on a farm in Harrison County, Mo. Due to Roy's ill health, they moved to a new home in Lamoni, Iowa in 1971.

Preceding May in death were her husband Roy, her parents, an infant daughter, one sister, and three brothers.

She leaves to mourn her death her son Basil; grandchildren Kenneth of Branson, Mo., Gary and wife Pam of Lamoni, Donna and husband Marty Babusa of Branson, and Kevin of Lamoni; six great-grandchildren; David and Timmy Barth, Mindy and Trent Martin of Branson, Mo., and Tracy and Kelly Barth of Lamoni; one sister, Roma Burr of Iowa City, Ia., 3 brothers, Doc Boswell, Rufus Boswell, and William Boswell, all of Lamoni.

She was laid to rest beside her husband in Andover Cemetery and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services were held at the Lamoni Funeral Home in Lamoni on Friday, October 14, 1983, with Jewell Bremer and Gary Boswell officiating.
