"Dayton Hohmann age 84 of Novice, Texas passed from this life on Sunday, April 11, 2015 at 2:42 p.m. at Holiday Hill Nursing Home.

"Services will Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Henderson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Denise Sager officiating. Interment will follow at Rough Creek with services under the direction of Henderson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. at Henderson Funeral Home.

"He was born Dayton Ernst Hohmann on April 14, 1930 in Fredricksburg, Texas to Walmar Ben and Sophia Anna Lee Wilke Hohmann. Dayton was raised in Llano, graduating from Llano High School in 1948. In 1948 he married Peggy J. Alexander in Tow, Texas celebrating fifty-six years of marriage, she preceded him in death in 2004. On November 13, 2004 Dayton married Nelda Otto in Coleman, Texas and they have celebrated ten years of marriage. Dayton served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korea and Vietnam Wars and retired following twenty-two years of service as a Chief Master Sargent. He was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church and a Master Mason, Grand Prairie Lodge 1356. Dayton was a resident and rancher in Coleman County since 1982.

Survivors include his wife, Nelda Hohmannof Novice, Texas; two sons, Darrel and wife Ireanne Hohmann of San Angelo, Texas; and Richard and wifeRebecca Hohmann of McKinney, Texas; two sisters, Alice and husband Jay Bingham of Burnett, Texas; and Erline and husband Allen Sager of Columbus, Ohio; one brother, Walmar and wife Sharon Hohmann of San Angelo, Texas; ten grandchildren; 22 great grand children; three great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

"Dayton was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie L. Hohmann in 1992; one sister and two brothers."
