Julia never married but she did have two children out of wedlock. I think both children died before maturity. She was one of those unfortunate casualties of war and never married probably because the southern men had been decimated by the war. She lived with or near her mother for most of her life. She committed suicide near an old family swimming hole which was later referred of as the Julie hole.
