Dorothy Nell Wuertele Keeler passed away peacefully on October 8, 1914 at Park Bend Health & Rehabilitation Center, where she had resided for the past 17 months. She was born on July 13, 1919 to Nick Wuertele and Anna Marie Haberman Wuertele in Austin, TX.
Dorothy married Alton Keeler, an Austin Firefighter, in 1939. When Alton joined the U.S. Coast Guard during WW II, Dorothy traveled with him to his tours of duty in Brownsville, TX and New Orleans, LA. In 1945, when Alton left the service, he and Dorothy returned to Austin. Alton re-joined the Austin Fire Department, and Dorothy worked at home, raising their three children. Alton passed away in 1965, and Dorothy eventually returned to the work force. She began working at the office of Dr. L. E. Arnold, where she loved her work and remained for many years.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Alton, as well as her three children, Charles Keeler, Patty Roy and James R. (Ronnie) Keeler. All of her siblings also preceded her in death.
She is survived by three grandchildren, Michael Roy, Karen Keeler and David Keeler, her daughter-in-law Doris Keeler, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Burial was on October 10 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery, 14501 North IH 35, Pflugerville, TX.
