Anne Marie (Wuertele) Renker died in Round Rock on September 23, 2003. She was born in Austin, on May 4, 1905, daughter of Nickolaus Wuertele and Anna Maria (Habermann) Wuertele. She married Joseph Samuel Renker on September 28, 1929. She was private secretary to Charles E. Marsh, owner and editor of the Austin Statesman Newspaper. She retired as Deputy Clerk in the Travis County Clerk’s Office. Anne was a member of St. Martin’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and Order of the Eastern Star. Anne was preceded in death by her husband, Joe S. Renker and son, Joseph Samuel Renker, Jr.; six brothers; and five sisters. Anne is survived by her son, Robert L. Renker of Temple; sisters, Bertha Wray and Dorothy Keeler of Austin, Frances Hoffman of Dallas; and five grandchildren. The family will be receiving visitors from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., on Thursday, September 25th at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 26th at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel. Interment will follow at Austin Memorial Park.
