Mrs. Amanda K. Adelmann, 71, of 1702 S. 24th St., Manitowoc, died Monday morning at Holy Family Hospital where she had been a patient since Sept. 6. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am at Pfeffer Funeral Home and at 10 am at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. D.L. Krembs will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Mrs. Adelmann, the former Amanda Meyer, was born Aug. 2, 1895 at St. Nazianz, daughter of the late Matt Meyer and Catherine Wagner Meyer. As a child she moved with her parents to Manitowoc. She attended St. Boniface Parochial school and was a graduate of the old West Side High School.
She was married to William A. Adelmann May 17, 1918 at St. Boniface Catholic church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death Nov. 28, 1950. She was a member of St. Theresa Altar Society and the Gold Star Mothers. A son, Jerome, was killed in action at Normany in 1944 and a daughter, Marion, preceded her in death in 1939.
She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Matt Meyer, of Manitowoc; a son, Ted E.; of Manitowoc; two brothers, Albert and Alphonse of Manitowoc; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 pm Tuesday where the Rosary will be recited at 7 pm by the St. Theresa Altar Society, friends and the parish.
