Surviving are sons, Douglas Hiner and fiance, Christina Narwicz, Edwin and wife, Theresa Hiner; daughters, Connie Mattson, Judy and husband, Dick Ross; sister, Marian and husband, Ken Ackerman; nine grandchildren; 17 great - grandchildren.
He was graduate of Iowa State, Federal Food Inspector. Ed retired early to pursue his love of travel with his trailer, his bulldog, Corky and often his grandchildren, Ed visited every state in the Union before his air ad - ventures to Asia, Europe, and Africa. He loved fishing, gardening, and reading Louis L'Amour.
