2nd Regt, Ohio Volunteers, War of 1812

John Brackney served in the War of 1812, in the 2nd Regiment (Findlay's), of the Ohio Volunteers as a Private. He was the son of Reuben Cheeseman BRACKNEY (b. 1768) and Hannah JONES, and he was the grandson of John BRACKNEY (b. 1726) and CHEESEMAN. John married Mary WILSON (1797-1849); they had twelve children: Lucinda, Reuben, Jesse, Sarah, Hannah, Arthur, Lydia (who married John M. Beard), John, Julia, Elias, Francis, and Marieta.
