Mrs. Anna M. Du Bois, a resident of San Rafael for 86 years, died last night in a local hospital where she had been a patient for a week. She was 92.
Born in Batavia, Java, where her parents were traveling on business, she lived at 201 Locust Avenue, one of the oldest houses in Marin County. It was built by her father in 1876.
A member of the San Rafael Improvement Club, she was an accomplished linguist. Her husband was the late Alfred W. Du Bois.
She is survived by her sister, Mrs. Harry D. Johnson of San Rafael, and several nieces and nephews.
Private family services will be held tomorrow.
