Leo Bieker, 73, Brighton, a retired boiler operator, died Thursday, July 6, at Platte Valley Medical Center in Brighton.

He was born Sept. 2, 1915 to Andrew and Rosie (Dreher) Bieker in Gorham, Kan.

Mr. Bieker was a retired boiler operator at the Kuner factory. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Brighton.

Survivors are four sisters, Dorothy Shakata of Brighton, Pauline Denning of Winona, Kan., Adeline Schmidt of Victorville, Calif., and Irene Keller of Arvada; three brothers, Barney of Brighton, Pete of California, and Bill of Hays, Kan.

He was preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 6th and Egbert, Brighton. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Brighton.

Contributions may be made to the Leo Bieker Fund in care of Barney Bieker, 795 S. 2nd Ave., Brighton 80601. Rice Mortuary, Brighton, is in charge of arrangements.
