Gilliam, Gary Don Gilliam of Davison Mich., age 73, died Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at Geneses Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, November 2, 2009 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Reverend David Flower officiating. Burial in Crestwood Cemetery (Garden of Aposles). Contribution may be directed to American Diabetes Association. Visitation 2-8 P M Sunday at the Funeral Home.
Gary was born in Hornersville Mo. on December 5, 1935, the son of Omar and Grace (Wainright) Gilliam. On December 8, 1951, he married Greta Hopkins in Davison. Gary enjoyed collecting antiques and woodworking. Gary was also a General Motors retiree.
Surviving children, Richard Gilliam of Flint, Mike abd wife Cheryl Gilliam of Flint, Barbara and husband Richard Doubenmeier of Ca. Bethany and Husband Larry Keel of Clio, Dan and wife Michele of Flint; special friend Millie Barringer of Flint; 12 grandchildren; 9 greatgrandchildren; Brothers, Ronald Gilliam of Flint and Foy Gilliam of Arkansas; Many nieces and nephews.
