Mrs. Effie Goodman, 77, widow of Lincoln Goodman and resident of Dakota, passed away at a local hospital today following a brief illness. Effie Meyer, daughter of Daniel and Matilda (Smull) Meyer, was born in Rock Run township, March 9, 1866. She was united in marriage to Lincoln Goodman in December, 1893. The husband preceded her in death. Surviving are a daughter and a son, Marguerite Goodman, at home; Boyd Goodman, Freeport. A sister and a brother also survive, Mrs. Emma Lauck, Peabody, Ky.; John Meyer, Dakota. She was a member of Dakota Methodist church. Funeral arrangements have not been announced.
