KOBELAK, Ethel B. (Retherford) 72, of Tipp City, Ohio passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2007 peacefully at her home. She was born January 11, 1935 in Nancy, Kentucky the daughter of the late Jasper & Pearlie Mae (McKinney) Retherford. Raised and graduated in 1953 from Plainfield High School in Plainfield, Indiana. She was a member of the Brandt United Methodist Church. Volunteer with AARP Tax Preparation Program for 13 years, Troy Hayner History Center for 14 years and Twice Blessed Resale Store. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother (Baba) and friend who will be missed by many. She is survived by her children, Natalie & Randy Donahue, Steve & Kelly (Fry) Kobelak, Michael & Sharon (Simmers) Kobelak, Sandy & Patrick Nartker; eight grandchildren, Adam & Alec Donahue, Kendall & Kaitlin Kobelak, Hayden & Kyla Kobelak, Lindsey & Kirsten Nartker; sister, Jewell & Paul Miller; a brother, Harry Retherford; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Steve Kobelak; brothers, Howard, Bill & Earl Retherford; sisters, Margaret Lyons, Esther Retherford, Dorothy Wolfe and Lois Bombei. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-8 p.m. with a service at 7 PM Thursday, May 24, 2007 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio. Graveside services will be held at 12 noon Friday at the St. Theodosius Orthodox Cathedral Cemetery, Cleveland, Ohio. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 2808 Reading Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45206 and or Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420.
