MOUNT PLEASANT, November 24 -- Mrs. Rhea B. GUNDERSON, wife of John GUNDERSON, died at an early hour this morning at the family home from tumor of the brain. Mrs. GUNDERSON had been ill for a number of years, during which time she had submitted to several operations.
Mrs. GUNDERSON was born in Mount Pleasant, September 09, 1878, of pioneer parents, Hans and Fredrikka H. BROTHERSON. She was married here on October 18, 1897, to John GUNDERSON, and they have always made their home in Mount Pleasant, where the family has been prominent in the religious and civic life of the community. Mrs. GUNDERSON had been an active worker in the Primary association and Relief society of the South ward.
Mrs. GUNDERSON is survived by her mother, her husband, who at the November election was elected commissioner of Sanpete County; one daughter, Shila, and six sons -- J. D. GUNDERSON of Garland, Shirley H. and Glen B. GUNDERSON of Salt Lake, Reed, Ivan and Keith GUNDERSON, all of Mount Pleasant. She also is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Parley HANSEN, Mrs. P. A. POULSON, Hans, Parley, Francis, Christian, Vernon and Floyd BROTHERSEN of Mount Pleasant; Mrs. Margaret CHRISTENSEN of Rexbury, Idaho; Mrs. Hyrum SORENSEN of Ephraim; Niels and Orson BROTHERSON of Price.
Funeral Services will be held in the South Ward Chapel at 2:00 o'clock Friday afternoon, under direction of Bishop A. L. Petersen.
