Colleen Mae Tilleskjor was born April 12, 1927, the daughter of Hilary and Gerda (Bergner) Tilleskjor. She completed her elementary education in Alexandria and graduated from Duluth Central High School in 1945. Colleen was recently retired from her employment at the Grant County Social Services in Elbow Lake after twenty years of service. Prior to this she had worked several years for the Douglas County Social Services in Alexandria. Colleen has been a long-time resident of Evansville, having only recently been living in Bloomington, Minnesota, since mid-1986. After a brief illness Colleen died at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina at the age of 59 years. She is survived by husband: John Dennis of Bloomington; daughters: Nancy and Katherine of Evansville, Mary of Fridley; sons: Daniel of Gilbert, Arizona; and Joseph of Evansville; mother: Gerda Tilleskjor of Alexandria; brothers; Gerald of Alexandria and Clyde of Ontario, CA; sister; June of Duluth; step-daughters: Lois of Minneapolis, Judy of Evansville, Jacqueline and Susan of Owatonna; and step-son: Ronald of Lebanon, Indiana. Also surviving are three grandchildren, four step-grandchildren. Colleen was preceded in death by her father, Hilary Tilleskjor.
Memorial services will be held February 21, 1987 at the Anderson Funeral chapel, Alexandria, Minnesota with Rev. Jim McVicar officiating. Arrangements with Anderson Funeral Home.
