Dorothy (Shepherd) Aufranc passed away March 4, 2015. She was born August 3, 1917 to Wellard W. and Ethel (Clawson) Shepherd in West Chester, Ohio. She was a graduate of Union Township High School and Miami University.

On March 29, 1939 she married Myron Aufranc at her parents' residence, Shepherd Farms at Beckett Ridge. She and her husband farmed property at both Beckett Ridge and Tylersville Road. They also owned and operated the bus transportation for Union Township School District through the early 1960's. Later, she taught at Pierce and Polk Elementary Schools in Hamilton, retiring in 1974. After retirement, the Aufrancs extended their stay at their home on Mullett Lake, Michigan, enjoying golfing, skiing, boating and snowmobiling. Dorothy was a member of the Union Township Historical Society, Retired Teachers of Butler County, and Immanuel Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and step-mother Alice Beekley Hance Shepherd; her husband; and her brother Robert Shepherd. She is survived by her sons Wellard, and Gary (wife Donna); granddaughter Brooke Gabbard (husband Rob); grandson Griffin Aufranc (Chun Yi Lai); great-grandson Mason Gabbard; nephews Robert Shepherd and Douglas Shepherd and their families.
