Mrs. Mary O’Brine (O’Brien), wife of Thomas O’Brine, died at Salona yesterday after a lingering illness with consumption. She was about 45 years old and is survived by her husband and two children – Minnie & Thomas. Four brothers also survive, Martin and Patrick McNerney, of Cathage, Mo., and Michael and Thomas, of McKeesport. One sister, Mrs. Deeghan, resides in Renovo. Mrs. O’Brine was the daughter of T. C. McNerney, of this city, and resided in this city up until about three years ago.
Note: There is a death record for their son Thomas, age 3, in 1889, but on the 1900 census, after Mary's death, Thomas has two children listed, Mary and Charles. The "Thomas" in the obituary above may have supposed to have been "Charles?"
