Mrs. P. Deeghan spent a few days with her parents the past week. Her father Thomas McInerny, is lying dangerously ill.

Thomas died on Sept. 4, 1893 and was buried at the St. Mary's Cemetery.

Contractor McNerney Dies on Monday After a Lingering Illness.
Thomas C. McNerney died Monday evening at 6 o'clock after a lingering illness. He is survived by his wife and six children – Thomas H. and Michael H of Mckeesport; Martin and Patrick J. of Carthage, Mo.; Mrs. Patrick Deeghan, of Renovo, and Mrs. Mary O'Brien of this city. The deceased had been a resident for over forty years. He also served as councilman two terms and was a prominent contractor and stone mason.

In the name of God Amen, I Thomas C mcInerney of the 4th Ward of the City of Lock Haven county of Clinton and state of Pennsylvania being of sound mind, memory and understanding do make and publish this my last will and testament as follows, viz: As to such property as Imay have on my death and to which my heavenly Father has entrusted me with I dispose of as follows viz:
Item 1st, I give bequeath and devise to my beloved wife Catherine all my property real personal and mixed for and during her natural life.
Item 2nd As I have debts amounting to some six hundred dollars which will have to be paid sometime in the future it is my will and testament that my children on as many of them as desire to shall pay the said debt or debts as soon as convenient or as soon as the creditors may demand the same, and it is my will that any one or all of my said children who shall contribute in paying said debts shall be paid and of said property herein devised debt and interest after my said wife's death, that is to say the children paying said debts on any part thereof are first to be paid and of said property before a division is made among my heirs hereinafter mentioned.
Item 3, As my two sons Martin A and Patrick J McNerney now living in Missouri assisted me when I was in danger of the Sheriff by either one or the other loaning me about one hundred and forty dollars it is my will and testament that they shall be paid back after the death of my wife not knowing whether one or both of them furnished me the money it is my will that the one furnishing the money is to be repaid as I have stated, but I wish it to be understood that the one hundred and forty dollars is to be paid out of my said property after my wife's death, and the same proportion that my other children receive in paying the debt of six hundred dollars or upwards, that is to say they shall be treated exactly alike neither one to have any advantage over the other.
Item 4, After all these debts are paid as aforesaid it is my will and testament and I do hereby bequest and devise after the death of my said wife to my children as follows: Bridget Deeghan, intermarried with Patrick Deeghan, Michael H McInerney, Martin A McInerney, Patrick J McInerney, Mary J O'Brien, intermarried with Thomas O'Brien, John E McNerney, Thomas H McInerney all that remains of my said property real personal or mixed after the death of my said – share and share alike to them their heirs forever.
Item 5th, After making the above bequests I do hereby revoke and change Item 4 of this will in this, that I wish to give and bequeath to my granddaughter Cecilia, a child of my daughter Bridget Deeghan one hundred and fifty dollars to be paid to her after the death of my said wife and after the payment of the above mentioned debts without interest.
Item 6th, I also give and bequeath in addition to the above bequest I give and bequeath to my son Thomas H McInerney the sum of one hundred dollars.
I do hereby nominate and appoint my son Thomas H McNerney as sole Executor of this my last will and testament.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal on one sheet of paper as my last will and testament, signed Tho. C. McInerney.
Signed, sealed, delivered, and executed as the last will and testament of Thos. C. McInerney in our presence and in the presence of each other and who requested us to sign it as his witness thereto, signed T T Abrams and P Prindible.
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Clinton County, ss: Personally appeared before me A S Grow, Register for the Probate of Wills and granting letters of Administration in and for said county Thos. H. McInerney who being duly sworn according to law doth depose and say that Thos. C. McInerney late of Lock Haven, said county, deceased, died at Lock Haven on or about the 4th day of September A.D. 1893 at 8 o'clock P.M. of said day to the best of his knowledge and belief. C McInerney the testator within named sign, seal, publish, pronounce, and declare the foregoing instrument of writing as and for his last will and testament, and that at the time of so doing he was of sound mind, memory and understanding to the best of his knowledge and belief. that Patrick Prendible, the other witness to said last will and testament is dead; that I was present when he signed said will as a witness, and that we signed in the presence of the testator, that I am acquainted with the handwriting of said deceased witness, and believe his signature to be genuine and in the proper handwriting, signed T T Abrams.
