A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Helen Myers Barth at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2015, in St. Rita Catholic Church with Rev. Craig Scott officiating. Interment will follow in Alexandria Memorial Gardens under the direction of John Kramer & Son Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday, from 9 a.m. until time of service.

Helen Myers Barth, 88 of Alexandria, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at Grace Home of Alexandria.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl H. Barth; her parents, Joseph A. and Hazel Myers; her sister, Camille Jett; and one brother Webb Myers.

Helen was a lifelong resident of Alexandria; and was a graduate of Bolton High School. In 1950, Helen went to work for the Gold Law Firm, as a legal secretary, and spent her next 20 years with the firm. Later Helen worked for M&S Court Reporters and retired in 1987. After retirement Helen enjoyed many hobbies and clubs. She was a member of the Magnolia Dance Club, the No Name Club, and the Exchange Club. Helen loved cross word puzzles and playing Bridge. She was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. Helen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many. She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her children, Gary Barth and his wife Kathy of Pineville, Carl J. “Skip” Barth and his wife Karen, and Lisa Barth Lachney and her husband Greg of Gardner; her grandchildren, Jamie Ainsworth, Todd Barth, Kristi Hilborn, Lucas Guillory, Eric Barth, Kyle Lachney, Justin Lachney, and Lindsay Mask; 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers honored to serve will be Kyle Lachney, Todd Barth, Eric Barth, Wes Hilborn, Brian Ainsworth, and Lucas Guillory.

The family wishes to express a very special thanks to Allison Young with Compassionate Home Care and to the staff of Grace Home of Alexandria for the loving care and attention given to our mother during her final days.
