MARTIN, Clayton 1925-2015 Passed away at his Waterloo residence on February 16, 2015, at the age of 89 years. Clayton Martin, loving husband of the late Eleonore Helga Martin (1985). Dear father of Robert (Linda) of Kitchener, Ronald (Maggie) of Orangeville, and Paul of Kitchener. Loving Grandfather of Veronica Martin. Fondly remembered by his siblings Alice Martin, Sharon Martin and Carol Martin. Predeceased by his sister Erma Martin and brothers Paul, and Henry Martin. Also predeceased by his parents Aaron B. Martin and Ada Arlene Martin. Clayton was an active outdoorsman from youth, and spent considerable time with his father, brothers and friends; fishing, hunting and camping, especially in the far north. He shared this love with his own family and they spent much time together in the woods or on a lake. Later in life, he pursued his interest in marksmanship as competitive benchrest shooter and gunsmith. He competed internationally and throughout Ontario and the northeastern U.S. until his 89th year, and was still winning. As much as he enjoyed the competition, it was the friendship of his many competitors that he truly appreciated. Friends are invited to share their memories of Clayton with his family during memorial visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home , 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Friday, February 20, 2015 from 3-5 p.m. Cremation has already taken place and a private family burial will take place at Parkview Cemetery at a later date.
