Mary Louise "Mary Lou" Christopherson passed away following an automobile accident. She had driven into a ditch while she was attempting to avoid hitting a boy on a motorcycle in Spokane, WA. She had been living in Spokane for the past five years.
When she was only 18 years old, in 1939, she married Howard Vincent Larson in Canton, MO. Their son, Keith was born the next year. Mary and Howard soon divorced and later, in 1949, he married Vesta Mae Rodgers. In August 1945 she married Selwyn Christopherson in Livermore, CA. He was born in Canton, SD. "Silky" adopted "Mary Lou's" children and raised them equally with their own forthcoming children.
During her life in Albuquerque, NM, in the 1950s and 60s, for about 20 years she managed several drapery and interior decorating departments and companies.
Her survivors include her five children: Louise Christopherson and Sally Evans, of Spokane; Steven Christopherson, New York, NY; Keith Christopherson, Albuquerque, NM; and Mark Christopherson, Spokane; six grandchildren; and her siblings; Kathlyn "Bobbie" Sassena, of CT, Elizabeth Weaver, of Ypsilanti, MI, and Jack Dorman, Rock Island, IL. Although divorced at the time of her death, she is also survived by both of her former husbands.
She was a member of the Audubon United Park Methodist Church.
