Mack R. Bruner, 67, 2023 Ninth St., died Thursday at Fort Snelling Veterans Hospital, Minneapolis.

He was born in Kingsport, Tenn., and married Myrtle D. Lowry Nov. 17, 1979, in Church Hill, Tenn. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He worked for National Presto Industries as a mill-wright for 14 years. He was a Past Commander of Post No. 7232 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Chapter 10 of the Disabled American Veterans and District 4 of the DAV.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Judson, Eau Claire; two daughters, Star Silverman, Pittsburgh, Penn., Darcy Bruner, Eau Claire; the childrens' mother, Allegra Bruner Thompson; a step-son, John Dutter, Eau Claire; four stepdaughters, Charlotte Semingson, Elk Lake, Linda Dedrickson, Chippewa Falls, Suzette Hallquist, Eau Claire, Marcia Hagman, Chippewa Falls; two brothers, John, Roy, both of Church Hill; and 22 grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Fuller Funeral Home, with burial in Lake View Cemetery, Eau Claire, where military honors by VFW Post 7232 will be given.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and until serviceson day at the funeral home, where a service by VFW Post 7232 and Chapter 10 of the DAV will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
