Rosemary Virginia Mackey Kerr, 76, died unexpectedly at 4:34 AM Friday, June 13, 1997, in St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Born Nov. 11, 1920, she was a native, a 1938 graduate of Jefferson High School, and a lifelong resident. She was married to John L. Kerr on October 15, 1938, in Lafayette; he died July 13, 1984.

Mrs. Kerr was a shoe saleslady for many years with Thieme's, Brandt Shoes, and Palais Royal. She was a life member of St. Ann Catholic Church, a member of Catholic Daughters of America, Beta Sigma Phi, Millard Fillmore Social Club, and Eagles Auxiliary. Active in bowling, she was Star Lanes Bowler of the Year in 1977. She was a volunteer at the Hanna Community Center and an avid card and bingo player.

Surviving are two sons, John R. Kerr of Fort Walton Beach, FL, and Thomas L. Kerr of Shreveport, LA; two daughters, Elizabeth "Betsy" (Mrs. G. Dean) Bunch and Judith Kerr, both of Lafayette; ten grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.
