Beloved Father of Lynn Anne ( Rick ) Thomas Whitman and JoAnne Marie Thomas Messina.
Loving Grandfather of Kristen Messina, Joseph Whitman and Louis Messina. Survived by his sisters Mary Therese Thomas, Connie Therrien, Joan Thomas and his brother Brother Charles Thomas. Predeceased by his parents John Erwin and Esther Juanita Thomas and his late brothers and sisters Dorothy, John, Terrance, Edward, Patricia, Paul, Esther, Monica and William.
Mr.Thomas served his country with the Air National Guard from 12 December 1954 until 11 December 1960, enlisting again with the Air Force Reserves as a Staff Sergeant from 11 December 1960 until Honorably Discharged on 11 December 1963.
Mr.Thomas retired from Michigan Bell/Ameritech after 31 years of service and then went on to work as a Service Engineer/ System Analyst with Aerotek Corporation.
He was a resident of Shelby Township for the past 45 years, former Utica Kiwanis Club member and long time parishioner at St Kieran Catholic Church.

Family will receive friends at the Wm Sullivan & Son Funeral Home 8459 Hall Road (3 Blks E. of Van Dyke)
Utica, Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m.
In State at St. Kieran Catholic Church, 53600 Mound Road, North of 24 Mile Road, Shelby Township, Michigan Friday January 30th at 10:30 a.m. until time of his Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m.
Interment at Guardian Angel Cemetery, Oakland Township, Michigan
