Link bought and owned what became known as Hammons Mill Rt CC Ozark county MO and ran it for years. He sold the mill to a loging company which in turn sold it to the US Forrest Service in 1935. All that remains of the site is the foundation up river from the Hammons Recreation Area on Rt CC on the north side of the Norfork River. The foundation remains use to be accessible via a walking path but the 1990 Norfork River flood took out the path so now it is accessible only by Canoe or flat bottom boat. The river is a wonderful summer float river.
