The death occurred on Saturday afternoon at her late residence, 283 Bromide Street, of Mrs. Mabel May at the age of 61 years. Mrs. May was the widow of Mr. Ernest Albert May, former well known cycle dealer and sportsman, who died in April 1936. Mrs. May came to Broken Hill from Moonta, where she was born, about 10 years ago to be married. She leaves two daughters, Mesdames A. Lough, and E. Jinks.
The funeral, which was of a private nature, took place yesterday, the cortege leaving her late residence at 10:15 a.m. The interment was made in the same grave as her husband, Rev. G. C. Hutchinson officiating. Bearers were Messrs. H. Johnstone, C. Hodge, E. Cocks and W. Baker. Norman Woodman carried out the arrangements for the funeral.
