IRENE CARLSON
HENRY: Irene A. Carlson, 76, of 909 Donald Street, died at 1:50 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2001, at her residence.
Born August 28, 1924, in rural LaRose to David and Bertha Hultgren Anderson. She married Wallace A. Carlson on February 21, 1946, in Varna. He survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Jimette (and Rick) Beil of Peoria; one son, Ted (and Debbie) of Brooklyn, MI; five grandchildren; two stepgraandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
She was a city clerk in Henry for 16 years. She also had worked for the Marshall County State Bank for five years in the 1940s.
She was a life member of First Lutheran Church in Varna, where she was a member of the WELCA Society and its circle groups.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at her church. The Rev. Lane Knouse will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Henry Funeral Home "Downtown Chapel" and one hour before services at the church. Burial will be in First Lutheran Cemetery #2 in rural Varna.
Memorials may be made to her church or to Methodist Hospice in Peoria.
