Henry Heaps Baker, 72, died September 25, 1993 at his home.

Born January 15, 1921 in Escalante, Utah to Ralph and Grace Heaps Baker. Married Ranee Tayler December 3, 1945; later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. Veteran of World War II. He was a farmer and construction worker. Survived by his wife of Salina; five children, Diann McNeil of Edan, Idaho; Shyrel and Marsha, Salina; Susan and Lee Wayne Elmer, Payson; Ralph and Ruth, Annabella; Philip and Ann, Nephi; 20 grandchildren, one great-granddaughter; nine step grandchildren, one step great-grandson; sisters, Mrs. Van (Erma) Kelly and Mrs. Reed (Lnora) Williams; brothers, Dale (Viola), Stanley (Reah), and Garth.

Funeral services will be Thursday, 12 noon in the Salina Stake Center. Friends may call at the Springer/Turner Funeral Home in Salina Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m., and Thursday at the stake center from 10:30-11:30 prior to services. Burial in the Salina Pioneer Cemetery with military rites by the Salina American Post 36.
