Died 3:15 p.m. Thursday, July 5, 1990, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. He was 82, a native of Smoke Bend and a resident of Baton Rouge. He was a retired Gulf States Utilities Co. employee. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., 8 to 11:45 a.m. Saturday. Religious services at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church at noon Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Dan Lemoine. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by wife, Ora Mae Alonzo; a daughter, Mrs. Cyril (Marilyn) Sharp, Port Allen; two sisters, Pearl Sanchez and Una Patureau, both of Baton Rouge; three brothers, Tony Alonzo, Baton Rouge, Darron Alonzo, Walker, and L.J. Alonzo, Greenwell Springs; three grandchildren, Steve Sharp, Port Allen, Karen Babin, Gonzales, and David Sharp, Baton Rouge; and two great-grandchildren, Lindsay and Mallory Sharp, both of Port Allen. Preceded in death by first wife, Lucille Sanchez Alonzo; two sisters, Nellie and Ella Higginbotham; and a brother, Mack Alonzo. He was a memberof Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church and Bayou Des Glaises Hunting Club.
