JOHN W. GRAHAM
John (Jack) Walter Graham, 62, died at his home, 400 11th street, Thursday, March 13, 1941, at 12:30 p. m. Death was caused by heart disease.
A son of John W. and Fannie Graham, he was born at Goshen, Clearfield County, on November 30, 1878. His early childhood and young life was spent with his uncle and aunt, Carneilius and Suesanne Divinney, Allport, Pa.
He was united in marriage to Annie Hart 1899, who survives, with the following children: Harry of Clearfield; Thomas of Youngstown, Ohio. A niece Tvola Hart Hamilton, Washington, D. C. who resided with the family since childhood. His mother, Mrs. Fannie Graham Maines, Cottage Grove, Oregon; a sister Mrs. Jacob Williams of Clearfield; two grandson, William and John. His father and daughter Anna preceded [sic] him in death.
His early occupation was driving team in the woods near Allport until employed as brakeman by the New York Central Railroad Company June 13, 1901, continuing in that occupation until his honorable retirement March 18, 1938, due to disability.
He was a member of Emmanuel Methodist Church, Independent Order of Odd Fellows No. 198 Clearfield, Elk Hose Company and Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen.
Funeral services were held from the home March 16th at 2 p. m. Rev. J. T. Williammee officiating.
Interment was made in the Allport cemetery.
