Florence Malone, 69, 313 N. Harlem Ave., died at 11:30 a.m. Sunday at the Oklahoma Osteopathic Hospital, Tulsa, where she was a patient since Dec. 2.
Mrs. Malone was born Feb. 9, 1911 at Webb City and had lived in Joplin since 1932. She married Raymond Malone in 1933, in Joplin. She worked 20 years at Miller Manufacturing Co., retiring in 1970. She was a member and active in the Democratic Club of Jasper County and had served as a clerk at the election polls many years. She was a member of Central Assembly Christian Life Center.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two daughters, Mrs. Sharon Sprouse, Carl Junction, and Mrs. Rowena Drake, 1828 Perkins Ave.; a son, Michael Ray Malone, Carl Junction; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Hill and Mrs. Maude Breeden, both of Miami, Okla.; 13 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Arrangements will be announced by Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary.

The Rev. Dow Booe and Jim Lewis will officiate. Burial will be in Osborne Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Booe, Junior Clark, Don Hoagland, Kenny Kiser, Wilbur Britton and Bill Pierson.
The family will receive friends between 7 and 8 p.m. today at Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary.
