SALEM - Rebecca "Becky" A. Domencetti, 76, of Salem, Ohio, died at 4:30 am Saturday, August 23, 2014, at the Saint Elizabeth's Hospital in Youngs-town, where she had been a patient.

She was born on September 14, 1937 in Salem, Ohio, a daughter of the late Gustav Bonfert and Mildred (Moore) Bonfert and had resided in Salem and previously in Centerport, New York. Becky had been a life guard, elementary teacher and worked at the Greenlawn Public Library in Centerport, New York, retiring in 2001 before she and her husband returned to the Salem area.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Salem and a longtime member of the Centerport United Methodist Church in Centerport, New York; she had also been a member of the Women's Circles in New York and the 3-M's Class and Health and Home Circle in Salem. Becky loved flower gardening, traveling throughout the world, sailing, cooking/baking and reading. But she especially enjoyed being a wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Domencetti whom she married on September 6, 1958 of Salem, four children; Jamae (Peter) Tschenkel of Sterling, VA, Charles (Maria) Domencetti of Centerport, New York, Karen (Tim) Lyons of Warrenton, VA and Ann-Marie (Tom) Chang of Kings Park, New York. She is also survived by a brother, James (Judy) Bonfert of Salem, Ohio and grandchildren; Julianne (Jason) (Tschinkel) Brown, Nicole Tschinkel, Daniel Tschinkel, Arianna Domencetti, Jessica Domencetti and Ethan Chang.

A Memorial Service will take place at a future announced date. Memorial contributions can be made in Becky's honor to the First United Methodist Church of Salem at 244 South Broadway, Salem, OH 44460. DOMENCETTI A joint memorial celebration for former Centerport residents Robert "Bob" and Rebecca "Becky" Domencetti, who both passed away in 2014, will take place at the Northport Gazebo in Northport, N.Y. on Saturday, July 18. The service will be held at 1:00 p.m. A time of fellowship and sharing will take place following the service. Feel free to bring a blanket or lawn chair. If there is inclement weather, the service will be moved to the Centerport United Methodist Church, located at 97 Little Neck Road Centerport, N.Y. Memorial contributions may be made in Bob and Becky's honor to the Centerport United Methodist Church of Centerport, N.Y.
