Mrs. Decker Is Called By Death Last Thursday
Funeral services were held Sunday at the Evangelical and Reformed church for Mrs. Marie Decker who died at her home Thursday, Feb. 28. Burial was in Oakwood cemetery. Her pastor, Rev. A. Mast, had charge of both services.

Mrs. Decker was born the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Reuter in the Province of Hanover, Germany, Feb. 12, 1891, and was baptized and confirmed there. On March 6, 1883, she was united in marriage to Chris Decker, and the first seven years of their married life were spent in Germany. They came to America in 1890 and settled in Monticello. They lived on a farm east of Monticello until 1919 when they returned to Monticello where the home has been made since. Mr. Decker died in 1937. Two daughters, Lena and Marie, also preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her passing four children: Mrs. Frieda Martinsen, William and Chris Decker, Monticello, and Mrs. Otto Rittmer, Ryan; one brother, William, Pasadena, Calif.; eleven grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.

Mrs. Decker was a faithful member of the Evangelical and Reformed church of Monticello, and regularly attended its services until her health failed. She has
been cared for at her home by her daughter, Mrs. Martinsen.
Pallbearers were six grandsons, Lee Rittmer, Clifford Decker, Rex, Ray and Leo Reuter, and Larry Martinsen.
