He was born July 20, 1910, in Sand Prairie Township, Tazewell County, to Charles and Ida Hoffman Birkmeier.
Surviving are one brother, George H. of rural Pekin; two sisters, Mrs. Earnest (Clara L.) Pech of rural Pekin and Mrs. Charles (Frances L.) Woodward of Pekin. Two sisters and one brother preceded him in death.
He farmed in rural Pekin.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the National Farmers Association.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 300 E. War Memorial Drive, Peoria, or his church.
