Timmonsville- Stephen H. Anderson, Jr., 82, passed away on Friday, Jan. 23, 2015in a local hospital.

A memorial service will be Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home. The family will speak to family and friends after the service.

Mr. Anderson was born in Charlotte, NC, the son of the late Stephen H. Sr. and Ruth Palmer Anderson. He served his country in the US Army as a Lieutenant. Steve was a graduate of Clemson University. He was a great Tiger Fan! His career involved farming, Assistant County Supervisor FMHA Sumter County then,County Supervisor Darlington County. Before retiring, he was the County Supervisor for Florence.

Steve was married to the late Anna Rogers Anderson who preceded him in death onFeb. 3, 2009.

The family wishes to “Thank" Comforter Keepers for their care, the Drs. and Staff of the10th floor of McLeod Hospital, Nurses and staff of the Presbyterian Home and a special caregiver, Hazel Bryant.
