Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Brintlinger's Pershing Funeral home with visitation after 6 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park.
Mr. Thomalla was born in Lesbendorf, East Prussia, won of August and Wilhelmena Thomalla. He was a furniture refinisher for Carson, Pirie Scott & Co., retiring in 1971.
He married Hermine Kriemendahl in 1919. She died in 1972.
Surviving are sons, Frank, Jr. of Decatur; David L. of Freeport; daughter, Mrs. Harold (Ann) Baker of Decatur; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren.
One daughter, five brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
