Pemberville- Clayton McCoy, 94 of 222 Forest Ave., died Tuesday (August 17, 1976) in Fremont Memorial Hospital. He was a retired section foreman for the C & O Railway, Toledo. He was a member of the First Methodist Church, Pemberville, and I.O.F. Lodge, Risingsun.
Mr. McCoy was born Nov. 5, 1881 in Mason county W.V. to Mr. and Mrs. George McCoy. He married Harriet Sayre. Survivors include five sons, Cecil of Bradner, George of Perrysburg, Oran of Gibsonburg, Earl of Luckey, and Ernest of Risingsun; four daughters, Mrs. Bert (Erma) Jividen and Mrs. Ethel Wyler, both of Gibsonburg; Mrs. Elmer (Hazel) Cobb, Fostoria and Miss Virginia McCoy, Williston. Two brothers, Ray and Roy and two sisters Ora Jividen and Mrs. Lola Ferrell, all of WV. ; 34 grandchildren; 76 great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren. His wife, one son and one daughter preceded him in death.
The funeral will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. in the NiemanBeckman Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Graham officiating. Burial will be in Eisenhour Ridge Cemetery, Pemberville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Williston Home of Mercy, Williston.
