A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 28, at Kingdom Hall, 1101, Mineral Springs, Madison, NC.
John was born January 3, 1928, in Bethany, one of ten children to the late Rueben and Annie Truitt. He proudly served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Truitt is survived by his wife, Mildred Truitt of the home; sons, Mark Truitt and wife, Janet, David and wife, Angela both of Greensboro; daughter, Corene Truitt of Archdale; grandchildren, Benjamin, Cody, Chelley, Carly, Cassidy, Matthew; brothers, Rueben Truitt, Randolph Truitt, George Truitt; and sisters, Alene Brown and Louise Ramsey.
The family will receive friends following the service at Kingdom Hall at the residence of Mildred Truitt.
