Born in Tennessee to John William Smith and Tennessee Catherine McNatt/Smith. Granddaughter of Charlie McNatt. Married Samuel Oscar Morgan 1899 in Hunt Co., TX. They had 3 children, Willie, Arthur (J.P.), and Albert Lindsay, who was adopted by relatives, Dr. Ruben and Ida Delaney of Greenville, TX. Laura died of Yellow Jaundice and son Willie died the day after she did. Her brother, Elgin Smith, my grandfather said Laura and Willie were buried in the McWright Cemetery, perhaps near grandpa Charlie McNatt, although no documentation or headstone are known at this point. They still should have a memorial.
