On June 9, 1970, he was the pilot of a Hughes Loach Observation Helicopter (OH-6A) enroute to a fire support base at Katum, South Vietnam.


Bad weather caused him to crash.


His remains were not recovered.


His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.


He is also inscribed on the National Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
