Rittman Press 3/15/1982: Rittman - Glen W. Porter, 62, of Sunset Drive, died March 7, at his home following a two-year illness.

Services were march 10 at the Church of God Mountain Assembly. The Rev. Michael J. Cornelius officiated. Burial was at Rittman Cemetery.

He was born in 1919 in Radnor, W.Va., to Charley and Alice Skaggs Porter and had lived in Rittman 31 years. He was employed by Packaging Corp. of America for 31 years, retiring in 1979.

He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a member of the Church of God Mountain Assembly and the Quarter Century Club at PCA.

Surviving are his wife, Anna; five daughters, Mary Oiler, Glenna Sue Sweigert and Elaine Kennedy, all of Rittman, Darlene Markley of Doylestown and Patty Mullins of Tioga, W.Va.; a son, Douglas Glen of Rittman; 19 grandchildren, and his mother, Mrs. Alice Porter of Rittman.
